Emerald Coast Pet Rescue: serving the Florida Panhandle Area

casper.jpg

We are an all volunteer, 100% foster based  non-profit rescue in Florida's Panhandle, helping pets find forever homes in Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Destin, Niceville, and surrounding areas. We believe all pets deserve a loving home.

At Emerald Coast Pet Rescue, we are dedicated to rescuing, vetting, and rehoming pets in need. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for animals, offering them the love and care they deserve while finding them forever homes. We work tirelessly to educate the community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering. Whether you’re looking to adopt a new furry friend or want to support our cause, we invite you to join us in making a difference. Every animal deserves a second chance, and together, we can create a brighter future for pets in our community. Contact us to learn more about our adoptable pets, volunteer opportunities, and how you can help! We are unleashing second chances!

About Us
Our founding members have both been volunteers and fosters at other rescues both here in Florida and in Georgia. As we became friends through rescue, we realized we both had similar goals: help animals get adopted, help relieve the large number of pets in our local shelter, and help educate and support our community in taking  care of their pets so they will be less likely to surrender their pets and/or contribute to the overwhelming pet overpopulation in Okaloosa County.

We decided to start our own small rescue in October of 2024....and keep it small. Staying small and foster-based helps us know the pets in our care and helps us focus on providing a quality foster experience. We are both dedicated to transparency in all we do, and as we continue to develop our program and fine tune our efforts, we hope to bring more people on board who feel the same way we do.
Are we perfect? Of course not! We are learning as we go, but we ALWAYS have what's best for the pets in our care in mind. This means we obviously cannot help every community plea that comes our way or every pet in our shelter.  But the ones we can help will be well-loved and given the best chance at a life they deserve.
